Charles Eugene Kemp, Sr., 73, of Owings Mills died Monday, May 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Towson.
Born November 11, 1940 in Lutherville, he was the son of the late Helen Kemp.
He was the husband of Janet B. Wagner Kemp.
He had served in the National Guard and was a retired Baltimore City Fire Fighter. He was a lifetime member of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company and was a member of the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, he was a member of the Hampstead Senior Center.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children James Michael Kemp, Sr., and wife Dana of Hampstead and Charles Eugene Kemp, Jr. and wife Lucy of Sykesville; his brother Allen Kemp and wife Carol; his 4 grandchildren; his 5 great grandchildren; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday.
Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, 12020 Greenspring Avenue, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
