Charles Edward Noel, Sr. 79 years old of Reisterstown, died June 14, 2010 at his home.
Born March 13, 1931 in Illchester, MD. he was the son of the late Samuel Harry Noel and Katherine Elizabeth Wagner Noel.
He was the husband of Elizabeth Marie Berg Noel for 53 years.
He was a graduate of Franklin High School. He served honorably with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for 44 years for CSX Railroad as a foreman. He was an avid golfer and camper and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a life member of Knights of Columbus Council # 5208.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons and their spouses: Charles E. Noel, Jr. and his wife Joy of Cockeysville, Shawn S. Noel and his wife Marge of Hampstead, two brothers: Oliver W. and Victor C. Noel, and his sister-in-law Dorothy Neal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother and sister, Woodrow W. Noel and Dorothy F. Bosley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon ,21071.
Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, 21117.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations in his name to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148
