Charles Dwight Owings

Charles Dwight Owings, 70, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his residence. Born on May 9, 1948 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Marie Ayers Owings. He was the beloved husband of Edith Dolores VanGilder.

Dwight worked for many years as an equipment operator for construction companies before he retired. He was a faithful member of Deer Park United Methodist Church, and a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter: Jennifer Weaver and husband Leroy, and step children: Kenneth VanGilder and wife Alice, and Carol Marie Marron and husband David, and 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 7, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm  at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am.  Interment to follow in Deer Park Cemetery, Reisterstown, MD.
