Charles Russell Seitz, age 94 of Hanover, PA. formerly of Hampstead, MD. died Thursday April 26, 2012 at the Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, PA.
Born Feb. 16,1918 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late George Michael and Nettie Kegler Seitz. He was the husband of 61 years to the late Iris May Robertson Seitz who died March 19, 2000.
He was an independent agent for State Farm Insurance Companies for 31 years. He had qualified for every award offered by State Farm. He was also a member of the Presidents Club. He was the oldest surviving founding member of Grace Bible Church of North Carroll.
He is survived by his children: Calvin Seitz and wife Fran of Millers, MD., Stephen Seitz and wife Jane of Otego, NY., David Timothy Seitz of Hanover, PA. , Iris Elaine Seitz of Westminster, MD. , Jonathan Seitz and wife Sian of Atlanta Ga. and Charles Seitz, Jr. and wife Donna of York Springs, PA.
Grandchildren: Jennifer, Susan, Truitt, Anneliese, Ashleyne, Trystin, Tyler, Kate, Jonathan Jr., Jamie and Nathan. He was also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by siblings: George Seitz, Mamie Shade, Mildred Thomas and Erma Schaeffer.
Funeral services will be at Grace Bible Church of North Carroll, 3250 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Tuesday at 10:00am.
Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
