Charles R. Van Auken, 95, of Summerville, S.C., passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Trident Medical Center.
He was born in Oswego, NY. He was a WWII veteran and a retired postal carrier. He lived his last three years at Magnolias of Summerville Assisted Living.
He is survived by his daughters: Margaret "Peggy" Benton and AJ Smith, stepdaughters: Donna (Nabil) Warsal, Jean (Patrick) Adams and Susan (Jonathan) Waid, grandchildren: Michael, Jon, Jonathan, Cheryl and David.
A private military service will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, December 20, 2013
