Charlotte Ruth Tipton

Charlotte Ruth Tipton, 77, of Manchester, MD, passed Monday April 2, 2018 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born Oct. 16, 1940 in Baltimore, she was the wife of the late George Tipton who died in 2016.

She was a retired seamstress for Joseph A. Banks. Charlotte enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family gatherings.

She is survived by her children: Georgie Tipton and wife Donna, Patti Sayers and husband John and Leanne Miller and fiance Jon Crist, siblings:Leonard Bookhultz and wife Joyce, Leroy Bookhultz and wife Mary and stepsister: Clara Wollering. She is also survived by several grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

She was predeceased by children: Teresa and Ricky Tipton, grandson: Justin Tipton and stepbrothers: Lawrence and Lewis Bookhultz.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD, where a funeral will be held on Friday at 12 noon. Interment to follow in Lineboro Cemetery, Lineboro, MD.
