Dr. Christopher "Chris" E. Barat age 52 of Owings Mills, MD died Sunday Feb. 22, 2015 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Born Oct. 18, 1962 in New York he was the son of Rosemary Lee Barat of Wilmington, Del. and the late G. Steven Barat. He was the husband of almost 12 years to Nicole Caran Barat.
He was college professor at the Stevenson University where he held a PHD in mathematics. He was born in New York and raised in Wilmington, Delaware.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are siblings, Andy Barat and Sarah Teaney both of Wilmington, Del. and Jennifer Barat of Havertown, PA. He was also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday Feb. 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071 at 10:00 am.
Interment will be at a later date in Wilmington, Delaware.
