It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Joseph DiPietro, 61, of Hampstead, MD, after a long and courageous battle with Young Onset Alzheimer’s on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by family. He was married for 31 years to his love, his life, his friend, Linda Kathleen DiPietro; and is survived by his three sons: Christopher (Julie), Nick, and Angelo.
Born on June 4, 1964, in Catonsville, MD, he was the son of Eleanore Ann Walter-DiPietro and the late Joseph John DiPietro. He is survived by his loving brothers: Jack, Joe (Teresa), and Mark (Stephanie) DiPietro, and all his nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his brother: Victor Joseph DiPietro.
Chris dedicated his career in outside HVAC sales for over 25 years, and was highly respected in the industry, as he always put the customer relationship before the sale. He was an active member of the St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, and proudly raised his family in the Oakmont Green community. He was a talented drummer, athlete, and loved listening to his favorite band, RUSH. He enjoyed gardening and watching his sons play sports, just as much as his favorite sports teams, the Ravens and Orioles. Chris was a devoted father in faith who cherished spending time with his family. His sense of humor would light up a room, and was always a pleasure to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.
