Clara Jane Lang Martin, 93, of Hampstead passed away peacefully Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.
Born February 14, 1921 in Snydersburg, she was the daughter of the late Mathias Lang and Jane Ebaugh Lang. She was the wife of the late Woodrow Wilson Martin.
She was a life member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Snydersburg. Years ago, she was a seamstress for Jos. A. Bank Clothiers.
Surviving are her children Dolores Martin Sylvia and husband R. Thomas Sylvia, Jr. of Ocean View, Delaware, Robert Leroy Martin and wife A. Karen Martin of Hampstead, MD., Betty Jane Schlitzkus and husband Peter J. Schlitzkus of Ocean View, Delaware, Russell Eugene Martin of Hampstead, MD, Linda Marie Martin of Hanover, PA. and companion Samuel D. Martin of Manchester, MD, and Peggy Wilhelm of Rising Sun, MD; her grandsons Erich Schlitzkus, Andrew Wilhelm, and Christopher Wilhelm; her great-granddaughter Lydia Schlitzkus; and her brother Lawrence "Skeeter" Lang.
She was predeceased by her son Edward Mathias Martin, and her siblings Calvin Mathias Lang, Marie Lang Richards, and Mary Lang McNelly.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester and 10 a.m. Saturday until time of funeral at 11 a.m., St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1616 Cape Horn Road, Snydersburg.
Interment will follow in the St. Marks Church Cemetery, Snydersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1616 Cape Horn Road, Snydersburg, MD 21074.
