Clarence W. Caples, Jr. "Casey" of Glyndon, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Born June 20, 1929 near Gamber, he was the son of the late Clarence W. Caples, Sr. and Ethel McQuay Caples.
He was the husband of Leona May Reter Caples for 59 years.
He was a graduate of Westminster High School class of 1946.He served honorably with the U.S. Army in WWII. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 467, American Legion Post # 116 as well as Glyndon Volunteer Fire Company. He was a carpenter by trade and retired as a Building Inspector from the Baltimore County Department of Licenses and Permits.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son C. Wayne Caples and wife Cathy, daughter Debbie Owings and husband Dennis, grandchildren Kristy Toney, Kevin Owings and wife Stephanie, Kasey Watkins and husband Shawn, Bret and Jesse Caples, great grandchildren Justin, Jameson and Owen, brother Gordon M. Caples and wife Barbara.
He was predeceased by sisters Julia, Franklin, Mildred Bennett and Ruth Fisher.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Rev. Lou Piel officiating.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
