Clarence "Cy" Cyford, 89 of Union Bridge, Maryland, died Monday, August 18th at his home.
Born June 19,1919 in Baltimore Maryland, son of the late Elmer and Ella May Cyford and
step-son of Mildred Cyford. Surviving is his loving wife Ann Cyford; daughter Sharon "Sister
Cecilia" Cyford, SSJ; sons and daughter in-laws Larry Cyford and Nancy Cyford, Lance Cyford
and Gloria Cyford; grand children Emily and Andrew Cyford; step-grand children Kim Cook,
Tracey Martin, Carron Berger, Russell and Robert Kelly and several step-great grand children.
Also survived by step-sister and brother-in-law Betty and Russell Clarke. He was predeceased
by sister Virginia Reville.
Cy was a proud veteran of WWII serving from 1940 to 1945 as a flight engineer/top turret gunner a B-26 Marauder and part of the Air Force Red Devil Flying Squadron and a recipient of many medals including the Purple Heart.
He enjoyed traveling, horse racing, following the Orioles and taking care of Peaches.
A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon
Maryland at 11 am on Thursday August 21st. Time for greeting the family in church will be 10 to 11 am.
Cy was an Anatomy Board Donor.
