Clayton Kenneth Myatt, Jr., 70, of Gettysburg, PA, formerly of Manchester, MD, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Born on May 28, 1954, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Clayton Kenneth Myatt, Sr. and Vivian Alice Lewis Myatt. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Cindy Myatt.
Clay worked as a system analyst for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. When his sons were younger, he was very active in their activities and sports, and was a cub scout den leader. He enjoyed going to car shows, driving his mustang and watching the Orioles and the Ravens. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are sons: Clayton Myatt, III and wife Lauren, Alex Myatt and wife Megan, and grandchildren: Henry, Avery, Oliver, and Trevor Myatt.
Clay was predeceased by his brother: Arthur Trevor Myatt.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 25, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, at 11 am, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Rd, Hampstead, MD 21074.
Inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.
