Clyde Bayard James

Clyde Bayard James, 74, of Gambrills, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Best Care Assisted Living in Reisterstown, MD. Born on June 3, 1951, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Bayard Dickerson James and Lois Jean Simpson James. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Lindner.

Clyde worked as a Claims Adjuster for various companies, including Aetna, for over 40 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Clyde was also a Certified Gettysburg Guide for 52 years and was an avid Civil War and WWII memorabilia collector. He loved football, especially the Penn State Nittany Lions. He attended many of their games with his father.

Surviving him in addition to his wife is his son: Ryan James and his wife Vanessa James, stepdaughter: Christine Tracey and her husband Joseph Tracey, grandsons: Ezra James and Liam James, step grandson: Brandon McDowell, and sister: Susan Love of Kansas.

The family will receive visitors for a memorial gathering on Saturday, April 18, from 1:00-2:30 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, where a memorial service will begin at 2:30 pm.
