Cody Tyler Cuffley, 11, of Manchester, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born Sept. 17, 1998, in Carroll County, he was the son of Wayne F. Cuffley, of Manchester, and Danielle Strevig, of Westminster.
He was a sixth grade student at Carroll Springs School in Westminster. He enjoyed sled riding, music, camping, horseback riding, Special Olympics, swimming, socializing, parties, fishing and family gatherings.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a great-grandmother, Ethel Martz, of Manchester; grandparents Patricia Cuffley, of Manchester, Greg Keller, of Westminster and Murray E. and Susan G. Haddaway, both of Delaware; a brother, Noah E. McGregor, of Baltimore; a sister, Samantha K. Cuffley, of Hanover, Pa.; aunts Stacey and Carrie Strevig and Jen and Krystal Cuffley; uncles Bryan and Aaron Cuffley; a great-aunt, Cindy Martz; a friend, Trisha K. Warner; and numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Scott Sager and Robert Barlett officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
