Daniel Clark Foster, 59, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Bridging Life Dove House, Westminster, MD. Born on May 27, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Rev. Clarence Biddle Foster, Jr. and Jean Marie Clark Foster.
In Dan's youth, he was known as the funny, witty one of his large and lively family, the straight A student, and a high athletic achiever in football, wrestling, and lacrosse at North Carroll High School. After several years of college, he was looking forward to fulfilling his appointment to the Coast Guard Academy, when a car/bike accident would change his life forever on his 20th birthday. The journey for Dan has not been easy. But in the providence of God there are no accidents. He learned, contrary to natural desire, to rejoice in the LORD, to find joy in his salvation, to find his strength in the LORD, and now he "walks on high hills". (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
Surviving him is his beloved stepmother: Vivian Kuhns Foster, and siblings: Bob (Debbie) Foster, Susan (Todd) Wright, Jim (Loree) Foster, Laurie (Chris) Rumley, and Dave (Rachel) Foster. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and stepsiblings.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, 2236 Old Fort Schoolhouse Road, Hampstead, MD.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery, and then a time of refreshment and reminiscence in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be sent to Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 389, Manchester, MD, 21102, to help assist with final expenses and maintenance of the church cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, Manchester, MD.
