Daniel Bruce Hughes

Daniel Bruce Hughes, 69, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home. Born on April 16, 1953, in Glyndon, MD, he was the son of the late Rupert Earl and Marjorie Lee Fisher Hughes. He was the beloved husband of Anne Marie Hughes.

Daniel worked as an IT Systems Manager for the University of Maryland. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Daniel enjoyed many hobbies, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are daughters: Mary Robins and husband Paul of Durham, NC, and Rebekah Hughes and husband Edward Williams of Richmond, VA, grandchildren: Benjamin, Eden Grace, Fiona, and Isaac, a brother: Robert Hughes and his wife Julie Hughes, a sister-in-law: Georgia Hughes, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings: Nancy Lynch and her husband Robert, and David Hughes.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 1, from 12-1 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 1 pm.

Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
