Daniel John Mangold

Daniel "Dan" John Mangold, 18, of Manchester, MD, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2018. Born on August 6, 1999, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of John Alfred, Jr., and Shirley Lynn Price Mangold of Manchester, MD.

Dan was a freshman at Carroll Community College and was a 2017 graduate of Manchester Valley High School where he was a standout goalie. He was an avid gamer, loved to ride his motorcycle, and enjoyed being with his dog, Cooper.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother: John Paul Mangold of Manchester, MD, and grandparents: Robert "Bob" and Barbara Price of Hampstead, MD, and Joyce and Francis Connor of Brushtown, PA. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and extended family.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, May 13, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, May 14, at 10:30 am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD 21102. Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
