David Alvin Fleming

David Alvin Fleming, 66, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his home. Born on November 9, 1959, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Marion Elizabeth Overholtzer Fleming of Hampstead, MD, and the late George Alvin Fleming. He was the loving husband of 25 years to Irene Marie Fleming.

David was a lifetime farmer. His love for farming was hereditary, and his heart was as big as his belly. David enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and watching the Orioles and the Ravens.

Surviving him in addition to his wife and mother is a stepson: Joshua Spevok and wife Koty, grandson: Jameson, siblings: Katherine Ann Butler and husband John, Lynn Fleming Beard, and Amy Jean Fleming. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law: Dwayne Beard.

The family will receive visitors for a memorial gathering on Thursday, December 11, from 3-5 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will begin at 4:30, with Rev. Dr. David Scafide officiating.
