David Franklin "Frank" Cather, 84, of Reisterstown died Friday, August 29, 2008 at his residence.
Born on January 14, 1924 in Washington, D.C. and was the son of the late David J. and Anna M. Cather. He was the husband of Kathryn E. "Teeny" Thomas Cather.
Mr. Cather was a veteran of WWII in the South Pacific and was retired from the Sheet Metal Worker Local 100. He was a member of the American Legion Post 116 in Reisterstown, was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Reisterstown Moose Lodge 1577. He enjoyed horse racing and swimming.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Pam Wilson of Reisterstown, his sons William Cather of White Marsh, Jerry Cather of Finksburg, and Michael Cather of Hartland, VT; his 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glyndon, 65 Sacred Hear t Lane, Glyndon. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
