David Melvin Sullivan

David Melvin Sullivan, 83, of New Oxford, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Cross Keys Village in New Oxford, PA. Born on July 11, 1939, in Manchester, MD, he was the son of the late Melvin George Sullivan and Grace Corine Werner Sullivan. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy R. Sullivan, who passed in 2012.

Years ago, David was a math teacher in Carroll County. He coached basketball and was honored in the Carroll County Sportsman Hall-of-Fame. In his younger years, David enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. In his later years after retiring to Arizona, he enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving him is a sister: Joyce Elaine Caldwell, and half-sister-in-law: Nelda Kellenberger.

David was predeceased by his sister: Anna May Nevius, half-brother: Bob Kellenberger, and brother-in-law: Carlton Caldwell.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.
