David Thomas Wilt, 61, of Manchester, died Saturday Feb. 22, 2014 at his home.
Born July 21, 1952 in Baltimore, he was the son of Ruby Irene Laird Wilt of Parkville and the late Elmer Wilt. He was the husband of Mary Jane Howard Wilt.
He was an Optician for Visionworks. He was a member of Crosswind Church and dedicated to his work at the Westminster Rescue Mission. He loved the beach, sunrises and sunsets and was an avid Orioles fan.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are his daughters Lynn Hoopes Johnson of Parkville, Jessica and Catie Hoopes both of Manchester; his brother Craig Wilt of Ohio; his 6 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Wilt.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester and 10 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral service, 11 a.m. at Crosswind Church, 640 Lucabaugh Mill Rd. Westminster.
Interment will be in Moreland Memorial Park, Baltimore.
