Delano "Del" Ames Gregory, Sr.

Delano "Del" Ames Gregory, Sr., 87, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. He was born on December 29, 1933, in Baltimore, MD. Del was the beloved husband of the late Shirley V. Gregory, who passed away in 2005.

Del was a 25-year veteran with the City of Baltimore working as a firefighter at Engine 46. He was an active member of the VFW and American Legion. His past time included cooking, baking, fishing and hunting. Del was an excellent mason, and he especially took pride in his formstone work which still exists in many areas in the city. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving him are children: Deborah A. Taylor and husband Eugene Pursell, and Delano A. Gregory, Jr., four grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his sister: Frances Bolote who lives in Los Angeles.

He was predeceased by 5 siblings.

Funeral services and interment are private.
