Delphine Catherine Mandella, "Dell," 76 years old of Marriottsville, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown.

Born on March 4, 1933 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Julius Taylor and Louisa Bolties Taylor.

She was the wife of the late Michael C. Mandella.

Mrs. Mandella worked for the Baltimore County Board of Education as a Food Technician in Food Service at Randallstown Senior High School. She was member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She was the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #521 and a member of American Legion Liberty Post #122, where she served as Secretary. She enjoyed Dancing, Travel, Gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Surviving are her children and spouses Michael S. Mandella and his wife Sarah, Deborah A. Miller and her husband Wayne, Anthony C. Mandella and his wife Laura, and Donnell M. Johnson and her husband Michael; her grandchildren Nicholas, Jackie, Melissa, Michael, Kristin, Jeff, Brandon, Amanda, Kelsey, and Jessica; great grandson Dominick; her boyfriend Gary McHenry; her best friends Bill and Pat DePuey; her siblings, Betty, George, Robert, and Josephine. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.


She is predeceased by her daughter in law Cynthia Mandella, her brothers Herbert and Fred, and her sister Delores.

Family members and friends may call 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9535 Liberty Road, Randallstown.


Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
