Denise Lynn Shamer

Denise Lynn Shamer, 59, of Finksburg, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on January 19, 1967, in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene Shamer and Eileen Marie Rill Shamer.

Denise was a graduate of North Carroll High School, class of 1985. She worked at Random House. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her cats.

Surviving her are daughters: Heather Knox and Anna Barber, both of Finksburg, MD, grandchildren: Nicole and Bradlie Barber, sister: Sharon Elaine Shamer, and dear friend: Edward Golliday.

Denise was predeceased by her brother: William Arthur Shamer.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 2 pm, at the Beaver Run Fish and Game Club, 2631 Old Kays Mill Road, Finksburg, MD 21048.
