Denwood W. "Woody" Forwood, Jr. 90 years old of Fayetteville, PA., died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Michaux Manor Assisted Living in Fayetteville.
Born August 10, 1921 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Denwood W. Sr. and Ida Elizabeth Zeltman Forwood.
He was the husband of Shirley Camille Stansell Forwood who died in 2005.
He served honorably as a Yeoman with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was stationed in Key West on the USS Midway. He worked as a drill press operator for Western Electric and was a member of the Point Breeze Club of Western Electric .
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Robert D. and LaRue D. Forwood of Fairfield, PA., 2 grandchildren: Elyse L. Cook of Chambersburg, PA., Emily L. Rimland of State College, Pa., and 2 great grandchildren: Gavin and Grace Cook.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
Burial will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his name to: Alzheimers Association, 1850 York Rd., Suite "D", Timonium, MD 21093-5142.
