Diane Kathryn Schaeffer, 72 years old of Union Bridge, died Wednesday, January 17, 2013 at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Westminster.
Born November 27, 1940 in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Kathryn Hoy Welsh.
She was the wife of Michael Layne Schaeffer.
A homemaker, she had been a secretary for an automotive business. She enjoyed being with her family and her two dogs Cha-Cha and Teddie. She and her husband raised and showed checkered giant rabbits.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Michael Schaeffer and his wife Debbie, Kathy Fritz and companion Jesse Yox, all of Union Bridge. Grandchildren; Gary Fritz, Amber Groves, Kevin Groves and Michael Schaeffer and great grandson Ryan Fritz.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013, 1:00 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
Interment private.
