Dianne Sharon Nichols

Dianne Sharon Nichols, 75, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg, PA.  Born on June 14, 1948, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Wilson Gill, Jr. and Iris Koppen Gill.  She was the wife of the late Earl Ray Nichols, who passed away in 2014.

Dianne previously worked for North Carroll Communications as a dispatcher. She loved animals, especially dogs.  She had many dogs in her lifetime, all who were the recipients of many treats and tons of affection. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and nativity scenes, and in addition was an avid reader.

Surviving her is a brother Dennis Gill and his wife Kathleen. She also had three nephews and their wives whom she considered as her children: Matthew and wife Kate, Eric and wife Blaire, and Jacob. In addition, she leaves behind her great-nephews: Colin, Owen, and Aiden.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 4, from 6-7 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will begin at 7 pm.

Interment is private.
