Dolores Vangilder

Dolores VanGilder, 79, of Westminster, MD, formerly of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at her residence. Born on January 9, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Richard and Edith Dorothy Sentz Fringer. Twice married, she was the beloved wife of the late Lonnie Ray VanGilder, who passed in 1986, and late Charles Dwight Owings, who passed away in 2018.

Years ago, Dolores worked as a computer specialist for the Social Security Administration. She was member and officer of Deer Park Methodist Church. As well as many organizations including the Good Sam Camping Club, Carroll Wagons, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ionic Chapter 73, and Past Honor Queen of Bethel #48 Job's Daughters. Dolores enjoyed crafting, especially scrapbooking and stamping. She will be dearly missed by all.

Surviving her are her children: Kenneth VanGilder and wife Alice of Mt. Airy, MD, Carol Marie Marron and husband David of Thurmont, MD, and grandchildren: Ryan VanGilder, Matthew Marron, and Ian Marron.

Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. Due to the ongoing pandemic, face masks and social distancing are required.

Funeral services and interment are private.
