Donald A. Bohn

Donald A. Bohn, 79, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Hanover Hospital UPMC in Hanover, PA.  Born on November 19, 1944, in Reisterstown, MD, he was the son of the late Donald Richard Boone and Catherine Emma Cool Bohn.  He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Patricia M. Bohn.

Donald retired from the State of Maryland after 33 years as a mechanic.  He enjoyed hunting and attending the steam shows.  He was a member of the Maryland Steam Historical Society and he collected "hit and miss" engines.  He was the hub of the family, the very center.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Donald A. Bohn, William R. Bohn, James K. Perry, John C. Perry, Angela M. Perry Mahanna, and Patricia A. Young, 20 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren:  He was also survived by sisters: Betty Cornette and Diana Cole, and aunt: Betty Keeney.

Donald was predeceased by his daughter: Rebecca Edward and 3 siblings.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, at 11 am.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
