Donald L. Diseroad, Manchester, died from the infirmities of old age on February 7, 2022. He was the son of the late Victor H. Diseroad and Rebecca (nee Kessler) Diseroad. His wife, Patricia A. (nee Kistler) died in 2017.
He began a 30 year Postal career as a Clerk in the Bloomsburg, PA Post Office. In 1956 he was appointed to the position of a Postal Inspector. His first assignment was to Beckley, WV. In 1959 he was transferred to Baltimore, MD. In 1970 he was assigned to Headquarters of Postal Inspection Service in Washington, DC. When retiring in 1979, he was Manager of the External Crimes Branch, Criminal Investigations, Postal Inspection Service.
After retiring, he was able to spend time hunting and fly fishing for trout. He was a life member of both the Koon Ridge Rod and Gun Club, Shunk, PA and Elks Lodge 2277, Westminster, MD. He was also a member of Washington Lodge 265, F.&A.M. and Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, PA.
He is survived by children: Donna, Pleasant Hill, CA; David (Frances), Lineboro, MD; and Kurt (Cathy), Pasadena, MD. Also surviving are grandchildren Reed and Kiel, Emily and Daniel, Katie and a great-granddaughter, Kava. Also survived by a brother, Fred and his wife, Marie, Sellersville, PA, and a sister-in-law, Jane, Souderton, PA, widow of a brother, Victor E. Diseroad, who died in 2014.
The deceased donated his body to the Maryland Anatomy Board. In accordance with his desires, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Interment in the Creveling Cemetery, Bloomsburg, PA will be at a future date.
