Donald Tracy Folk, 86, of Manchester died Monday, March 30, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Manchester on June 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles Henry Folk and Carrie Tracy Folk. He was the husband of Pauline Mary Armstrong Folk, his wife of 65 years.
Mr. Folk was the owner of C.H. Folk and Son Feeds and a lifetime farmer.
He was a lifetime member of the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department and Lazarus Lutheran Church, where he served many terms on the Church Council and Cemetery Board.
He was on the Board of Directors of the former Carroll County Bank and Trust Company and of Carroll Lutheran Village.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children and their spouses Elaine Folk Marshall and William Holdford of Raleigh, NC and Robert and Sandy Folk of Manchester; granddaughter and husband Michelle and Scott Mitchell; great granddaughters Olivia and Cara Mitchell.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester and from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Lazarus Lutheran Church, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Matthew S. Schenning officiating.
Interment will be in the Lineboro Cemetery.
