Donald Eugene Graf, 75, of Lineboro died suddenly on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Pennsylvania. Born March 31, 1933 in Lineboro and he was the son of the late Jacob Henry Graf and Kathryn Rohrbaugh Graf. He was the husband of Mary Jane Warner Graf, his wife of 53 years.

Mr. Graf was the founder of the Mason Dixon Vault Company in Lineboro and was the President from 1983-2006 when he retired. In addition in his early years he was a barber in Manchester from 1960-1976. He was a partner in Communication Electronics from 1976-1983. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Lazarus United Church of Christ in Lineboro, a life member of the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the VFW, and a charter member of the Manchester Hunting Club. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, an avid player of Sudoku, and supporting 4H programs.


Surviving in addition to his wife are his son and daughter in law Brian E. and Dawn Graf of Manchester, his son and friend Douglas Graf and Toni Mayr of Manchester, his daughter and son in law Rita J. and Thomas Becker of Manchester; his grandchildren Heather Cape, Shane Graf, Corey Becker, Alexis Becker, Shannon Graf, and Chad Becker; his brothers Richard Graf of Hampstead, Wilson Graf of Hanover, PA, Ivan Graf of Abbottstown, PA, and Dale Graf of Hanover, PA, his sisters Helen Cave of Westminster, Gussie Elicker of Abbottstown, PA, Dorothy Chronister of Grasonville, MD, Elizabeth Cox of Pennsville, NJ; his five great grandchildren. Mr. Graf was predeceased by his brother Albert Graf.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lazarus United Church of Christ, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro with the Revs. Sam Chamelin and George Hummer, Ret. Officiating. Interment will be in Lineboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Lazarus United Church of Christ, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102 or the Lineboro 4H Club, 5115 South Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102, Attention: Donald Graf Memorial Scholarship Fund.
