Donald Edward Mccombs

Donald Edward McCombs, 80, of Reisterstown, Maryland, passed peacefully at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 17, 2021. Born on September 5, 1940 in Keyser, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Donald Roy and Edith A. Emmart McCombs. He was the husband of the late Judith Anne McCombs, who preceded him in death.

After his graduation from Frostburg State College in 1962, Mr. McCombs came to teach history at the junior and senior high school levels in Baltimore County public schools. While teaching he earned three master's degrees before retiring after 35 years of teaching in 1997 in Baltimore County. After retirement, he became involved in refereeing high school volleyball, photography of East Coast Lighthouses, wood working, gardening, and trips to the Caribbean, including several to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Surviving him, in addition to many cousins, are two children, Michelle Lynne McCombs of Reisterstown, MD, and Lauren Melinda McCombs of Reisterstown, MD, and grandchildren: Annabella Noelle McCombs and Gage Michael McCombs.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 21 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a brief service will be held on Tuesday, June 22 at 10:30 am.

Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery in Reisterstown.
