Donald Leroy Reed Sr., 56, of Hanover, Pa., died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Hanover General Hospital in Pennsylvania.
Born Aug. 1, 1951, in Hanover, he was the son of Hazel Romaine Sandruck Herbert of Florida and the late Donald Albert Reed. He was the husband of Stephanie Theresa Kalkbrenner Reed.
He was a superintendent for C.J. Miller and was a member of Hanover Eagles.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are daughter and son-in-law Tammy Sue and Todd Hahn of Manchester; a son, Donald Leroy Reed Jr. of Manchester; a stepson, Steven Harris of Hanover; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Harris of Hampstead; grandchildren Sydney, Brent, Zach, Mason and Tyler; a brother, Larry Reed of Florida; sisters Valerie Herbert and Terrie Wankowski, both of Florida; and friends Norman and Bonnie Wilson of Manchester.
He was predeceased by a stepfather, Hubert Horne.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
Interment will be in St. David's Cemetery in Hanover.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
