Donald Harry Walter

Donald Harry Walter, 85, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View in Manchester. Born on November 3, 1937, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Harry Dudley Walter and Doris Evelyn (Schutte) Walter. He is survived by his loving wife Marlene Walter.

Donald worked in Maintenance at Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point for 42 years. He enjoyed sports, especially the Ravens and the Orioles. He also enjoyed paint by numbers, various types of puzzles, traveling, and he especially loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Virginia Durham of Aberdeen, MD, and Dottie Williams of North Carolina, step-children: Darlene Goyette and husband Steven of Manchester, and Ann Radcliffe and husband Stewart of Ellicott City, MD, grandchildren: Branden Felix, Elizabeth Lazzaro, Lauren Brown, Christopher Williams, Kim Perley, Victoria Radcliffe, Connor Radcliffe, Haley Goyette, and Phillip Goyette. He is also survived by his brothers: Robert Walter and Michael Walter, and sisters: Fran Davis and Judy Karl, all of Baltimore.

He was predeceased by his brother: Richard Walter.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1 pm, at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. 21102.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
