Dora Virginia Pimental

Dora Virginia Pimental, 98, of Glyndon, MD, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2017, at Long View Healthcare Center in Manchester, MD. Born on July 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and Dora Burton Dunnigan and the last of 13 children. She was the wife of the late Milton Joseph Pimental.

Dora retired from Westinghouse Aerospace Program. She loved animals and owned at least 7 horses, 26 dogs and many cats in her lifetime. She enjoyed working in the yard and mowing grass. Dora and her husband volunteered at the Humane Society.

Surviving her is a son: Phillip R. Kirby, and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, from 12-2 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, at 11 am at the Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Humane Society of Maryland.
