Doris Leenell Fordham Cox, 80, of Boring died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born August 10, 1932 in McRae, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Fordham and May Belle Snellgrove Fordham. She is the wife of George Clinton Cox, her husband of 64 years.
She was a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening, cooking, and entertaining her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children George Cox, Jr. and wife Pamela, and Patricia Diane Cox Vance; her grandchildren Larry Lippold Jr., and wife Susan, Rebecca Arndt, Julia Reinert, and George "Clint" Cox, III and wife Cynthia; her great grandchildren Emily, Brayden, Alyson, Tyson, and Clinton "Keeno"; and her siblings Rozzie Lee Spell, Florence Unverzagt, and Maxell Fordham.
She was predeceased by her siblings Verta Mae Loden, Thelma Hanson, and Charles Fordham.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
