Doris Schmidt Dell

Doris Schmidt Dell, 95, a resident of Carroll Lutheran Village, formerly of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on March 9, 1927, in Manchester, MD, she was the daughter of the late Stewart S. Schmidt and Jannie Abbott Schmidt. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Albert Dell, who passed away in 2013.

Doris was a graduate of Manchester High School. Years ago, she worked as a bank teller, she also enjoyed helping her husband with the family business. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving her are sons: Jeffrey L. Dell and wife Poldi of Virginia, Randy A. Dell and wife Kim of South Carolina, grandchildren: Danielle, Emily, Janie and Joseph, step-grandchild: Casey, great-grandchild: Cheyenne, nephew: Donald McCombie, and god-daughter: Cathy Walton.

Doris was predeceased by her sister: Beatrice Schmidt McCombie.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 26 from 3-6 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27 at 11 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St, Manchester, MD 21102.

Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
