Doris Keseling Hare, 88, of Glenville, Pa formerly of Sykesville and Port Charlotte, FL, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.
Born August 5, 1921 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William J. Keseling and Elsa Bladen Keseling. She was the wife of the late Dr. William C. Hare, Sr., her husband of 54 years.
Mrs. Hare a veteran of the United States Navy. She was a teacher and homemaker. She had been a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her sons and daughters in law William C., Jr. and Diane C. Hare of Glenville, PA and John David and Susan Hare of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren Alisha M. Helphenstine and her husband Patrick and William Travis Hare and his wife Christina; her 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel with Rev. Matthew S.
Schenning officiating.
Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Charlotte Memorial Park, Punta Gorda, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local hospice provider of your choice or the Visiting Nurses Association of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 North Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
