Doris Elaine Worden, 52, of Hampstead died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at her home.
Born March 2, 1956, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jessie Boomhower Whitney. She was the wife of Larry Arlow Worden.
She was a graduate of Parkville High School.
She was an office manager for Charles Krengel P.A. in Owings Mills. She had previously worked as a secretary for the Maryland State Police in Pikesville.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her dogs.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Lisa and Jessica Worden of Hampstead; a brother, Raymond A. Whitney of Parkville; a father-in-law, Arlow Worden of Michigan; mother-in-law and husband Jean and Bill Poole of Oregon; sisters-in-law Diane Grguric of Nevada and Linda Creager of Ohio; a brother-in-law, Vick Creager of Ohio; and nephews Gregory R. and Grant A. Whitney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, with her pastors, the Revs. Matthew and Norma Schenning, officiating. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
