Dorothy Jane Fowble Copestake, age 94 of Reisterstown, MD, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her daughter's home in Shenandoah Junction, WV.
Born Dec. 27, 1921 in Glencoe, MD., she was the daughter of the late Harry Ridgely and Rachel Emmaline Wisner Fowble. She was the wife of the late Victor George Copestake, Sr. who died in 2015.
Mrs. Copestake and her late husband were self- employed bus contractors. She enjoyed square dancing, and years ago sold Christmas Trees. She was a life member of the former Woodgrove Home Makers Association, a 1938 graduate of Franklin High School and a member of the Mt. Gilead Church.
She is survived by her children, Robert Harry Copestake and spouse Leonard Berman of Atlanta, Ga., Catherine Copestake Yohn and fiancée Fred Collins of Shenandoah Junction, WV and Janie Copestake Eckard and spouse Kenneth of Hanover, PA., grandchildren, Chris Yohn, Emma Mastrogiuseppe, Dylan Eckard and Aimee Tasker. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Victor George (Chopper) Copestake, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD on Sunday June 12, 2016 at 2:00pm. with the Rev. Scott Sager officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Upperco, MD.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
