Dorothy L. Rupp

Dorothy Lavina Rupp, 87, of Manchester, MD passed peacefully Thursday Sept. 29, 2016 at the Longview Healthcare Center in Manchester. Born Feb. 18, 1929 in Hampstead she was the daughter of the late Herbert "Dick" and Edith Brummel Danner. She was the wife of George Elwood Rupp her husband of 70 years on Oct. 26.
She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hampstead. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children; Cheryl Leppo and husband David of Glenville, PA, Beverly Rill and husband Jim of Hampstead, Kathy Williams of Manchester and Karen Wilhelm and husband Mark of Millers, grandchildren Greg and Dan Reed, John and Jason Dubs, Dave Leppo, Jr. and Beth Rabine, 8 great grandchildren and a sister Luella Rupp.
She was predeceased by 10 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD on Monday Oct. 3, 2016 at 11:00am. with the Rev. Barbara Allen officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
