Dorothy Virginia Sterner Warner

Dorothy Virginia Sterner Warner, age 97, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday December 28, 2018 at the home of her son, Barry, surrounded by family. She was born on November 12, 1921 to Jennie Marie Alban and Paul Edgar Sterner. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1937. She was employed by Black and Decker in Hampstead, MD for 25 years.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Leister and Pauline Cole.

She is survived by her sons, Winston (Susan) and Barry (Dawn). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Shawn Warner, Brianne Alcala (Ron), Kristin Payne (Nathan), Barbara Toure (Hamady) and Paul Warner. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

She was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and was a member of the Oriole Advocates for 10 Years. She had a great love for bingo where she met many of her friends.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD on Thursday Jan. 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. where a funeral service will be held on Friday Jan. 4, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in John Luther Miller Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
