Douglas Clyde Kreitzer

Douglas Clyde Kreitzer, 65, of Manchester, MD, passed suddenly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home. Born August 21, 1955 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Clyde Ervin and Vera "Pat" Gladys Quinley Kreitzer. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Shutt Kreitzer.

Doug was a recently retired warehouse manager, where he worked for 28 years for Towne Pride in Hampstead, MD. He was a member of Bixlers United Methodist Church. He enjoyed listening to music and also played bass guitar in several bands in the Carroll County area. Doug liked to spend time with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are step children: Daniel Shipley and wife Faith of Westminster, MD and Brandin Shipley of Georgia, seven step-grandchildren and siblings: Beverly Gill and husband Melvin of Hanover, PA, Lynn Gibson of Hanover, PA and Darryl Kreitzer of Manchester, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and on Saturday from 10 until the time of funeral service at 11 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
