Dycie Virginia "Dee" Hayes, 82, of North Carolina, formerly of Owings Mills, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, in Ramseur, N.C. of natural causes.
Born Jan. 6, 1926, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Elizabeth Masemore King. She was the wife of Edison Taylor Hayes Sr., who died in 1984.
She was a retired typist clerk for the State of Maryland.
Surviving are children Audrey Lee Bolyard and Edison T. Hayes Jr., both of Reisterstown, Lois Hayes-Fish of Timonium and Karla Elizabeth Hayes of Siler City, N.C.; a brother, William Elliott King of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
