E. Robert (Bob) Payne age 61 of Upperco, MD. died Friday May 1,2009 at his home.
Born on January 10, 1948, he was raised by the late Russell and Mae McGee. He was the husband of the late Sandra Gay Payne.
He was a 1966 graduate of North Carroll High School. He worked most of his years in the construction industry working with Redding Construction and Ryland Homes.
He loved pets and frequently helped friends with handyman projects and enjoyed working at True Value Hardware in Hampstead, MD. the last two years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by several grown children. He is also survived by a mother in law: Anna Mae Greenwood Franklin of Westminster, MD. Brother in laws: Mark Franklin and wife Deborah of Hanover, PA. and Jack Franklin and wife Amy Trump Franklin of Winfield, MD. nephew: Dylan Franklin of Winfield, MD.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive. Manchester, MD. on Tuesday at 11:00 am. with the Rev. Earl Mason officiating.
Interment will be in Linganore Cemetery, Linganore, MD.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
