E. Thomas Slonaker, 89, of Owings Mills died Monday, December 9, 2013 at Springhouse Assisted Living in Owings Mills.
Born October 15, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elmer E. Slonaker and Lula Bosley Slonaker. He was the husband of Katherine White Slonaker, his wife of 69 years.
He was a graduate of Loyola College, Magna Cum Laude. He served in the Army during WWII in both the Normandy Invasion and in the Pacific Theatre.
He was retired from the MTA Credit Union, where he was the C.F.O. and for seven years following worked as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Tom Dulaney Slonaker and wife Madeline, and Karen Ann Edwards and husband Keith; his 5 grandchildren; his 9 great grandchildren; and his 1 sister.
He was predeceased by 3 siblings.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen's Reformed Episcopal Church, 2275 Liberty Road, Eldersburg with Rev Eric

Entombment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
