Earl Stephen Hunt, 84, of Westminster died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born November 28, 1929 in Manchester, he was the son of the late LeRoy Earl Hunt and Mary Belle "Mamie" Zepp Hunt. He was the husband of Ethel Mae Ruby Hunt, his wife of 63 years.

He was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester. He was a veteran the United States Army and had served during the Korean War. He was a retired Foreman for Baltimore, Gas, & Electric Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed country and gospel music and being in the outdoors especially cutting wood.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his sister Eva Dolores Leese; his niece Judy Green; his great niece Leesa Green; and great nephew Bryan Green.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with his pastor the Rev. Matthew S. Schenning officiating.

Interment will be in St. John's (Leister's) Church Cemetery, Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 739, Manchester, MD 21102.
