Earl Elwood Yingling, 89, of Hampstead died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born August 8, 1921 in Manchester, he was the son of the late Harvey C. Yingling and Lilly Armacost Yingling. He was the husband of Wilma Yingling and his first wife, the late Doris Kolb Yingling, who died December 18, 1970.

He worked for Pritchard and King, Inc. in the manufacturing of truck bodies. He was a WWII veteran of the Army-Air Force Division.

He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, the Masonic Lodge, and the Hampstead American Legion. He enjoyed baseball with his sons and grandsons.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons and daughters in law Eugene and Barbara Yingling of Westminster and Robert and Susan Yingling of Hampstead; his grandchildren Brian Yingling and his fiancée Amanda Brady, Jeffrey Yingling and his wife Jennifer, and Michael Yingling; his stepchildren Barbara Manners and Robert "Bud" Cole both of Florida and Cindy Schmidt of Aberdeen; and his great granddaughter Ava Leigh Yingling and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and his sister Margaret Zepp of Manchester.

He was predeceased by his brothers Melvin and Robert Yingling and his sister Helen Neudecker.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Matthew S. Schenning officiating.

Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery.
