Edgar Lee "Jim" Mercer, Sr., 86, of Hampstead died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Dove House in Westminster.
Born November 17, 1925 in Essex, he was the son the late Harry Roger Mercer and Nettie Louise Hefner. He was husband of Harriet Elizabeth Sheirburn Mercer, his wife of 62 years.
He was an engineer for Baltimore County Government.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Lynn Di Cristina; his 4 grandchildren, and his 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son E. Lee Mercer, Jr.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
